Ville Mickelsson joins Silo.AI to build new business and strong partnerships

We’re thrilled to announce the newest member of our growing sales team: Ville Mickelsson!

Ville joins us as a Business Development Executive with a focus on new business, circular economy and operational efficiency related solutions with special emphasis on machine and process industries.

Ville has 20+ years of experience in international sales, business development and leadership, out of which he has spent 15 years working with the leading core technology experts from top-tier semiconductors, telcos and IT companies. With this and his extensive leadership experience, both from the corporate and startup worlds, Ville has gained a wide and strategic perspective on edge level intelligence and its business opportunities.

Most recently, Ville served as the COO of a custom control and editing console company Loupedeck. Prior to that, he led Accenture’s Industry X.0 (Business Transformation & Industrial Internet) business in the Nordics, particularly in industries like utilities, forestry sector and O&G. 

Ville is perhaps most well-known for his roles as CEO, first at Sensinode and then later as the CEO of CyberLightning. Both companies had a strong energy sector and industrial focus, with Cyberlightning concentrating on an edge-to-cloud platform that combined the 3D Internet, real world visualization and big data analytics to drive breakthrough applications for managing the Industrial IoT. Sensinode, on the other hand, was a leading IP-based Wireless Sensor Network company that was acquired by ARM in 2013.

Having led pioneering technology companies and worked with major global corporations, Ville has gained excellent skills and networks abroad. He is a renowned speaker in international industrial congresses, and has also served as a co-chair for the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) Energy Group, and on the board of the IPSO (Internet Protocol for Smart Objects) Alliance. In addition, Ville has chaired several boards of directors, including Augumenta Ltd., a pioneering developer of gesture and virtual surface navigation for augmented reality applications.
